The Santander Group General Assembly 2008 was hosted by the Adam Mickiewicz University of Pozna, Poland on 13th and 14th June 2008.

Traditionally, the meeting is the most important annual event in the life cycle of our organisation. It gathers rectors and representatives to the General Assembly who develop the general policy of the Group.

This year General Assembly was hosted by the Adam Mickiewicz University of Pozna, Poland on 13th and 14th June 2008. On this occasion the new president of the Group was elected and new members for the Executive Committee were nominated.

Within the next two years, the Santander Group will be carried under the presidency of Professor John Tuppen from the Joseph Fourier University of Grenoble, France who, with words of kindness, thanked all attendees to the Meeting and expressed his willingness for cooperation among all university members.

A lot of ground was covered during the two days of the conference, and many new ideas and initiatives were voiced.

The second day of the Meeting was devoted to internal business and policies discussion.

The General Assembly was also accompanied by a poster session in which participants were encouraged to highlight all activities, achievements and areas of expertise of their university.
