Summer School at the UBT: Join one of the online courses in July 2021

From 5 - 16 July 2021, the Bayreuth International Summer School will be hosting students from all over the world in their interdisciplinary online courses.

The Summer School consists of eight individual programmes, each one specialized in a different area and in line with the research areas of the University of Bayreuth. Participants  can apply until 31 May 2021 and join online from anywhere in the world or directly on the campus in Bayreuth. they can earn up to 6 ECTS points! As one of Germany’s youngest universities, the interdisciplinary focus and the innovative collaboration between many of the disciplines are key features of Bayreuth’s research culture. The University of Bayreuth is considered to be among the best young universities in the world. Thanks to its diverse array of disciplines and strategically chosen focus areas, it is internationally recognized for its research contributions and offers an excellent study environment. 

The Summer School 2021 consists of eight individual courses, each one specializing in a different area of study and research. Organized by the International Office in cooperation with the Campus-Akademie, all courses are conducted in English by international guest lecturers and will take place over a two-week period. Participants have the opportunity to engage in various seminars and discussions for around six hours each day. The courses are in line with the research areas of the University of Bayreuth.  

For 2021, the Summer School is organizing the programme in an interactive online format to enable participants to join from anywhere in the world or directly from the university campus in Bayreuth, Germany. Students benefit from the personal attention they receive while learning and working in small groups. A certificate and up to 6 ECTS points is awarded for regular attendance of the course, active participation, and a short presentation or written test.
