MEETING ON DOCTORAL EDUCATION, POZNAN, 28 JUNE - REGISTRATIONS OPEN

6 May 2019

In the context of its 100th anniversary, The Adam Mickiewicz University of Poznan is organizing The Ph.D. Supervisor: a Master, a Partner or a Service Provider? Challenges of Doctoral Education meeting on June 28, with the support from SGroup and Compostela Group.

This one-day meeting is devoted to the exchange of best practices in the area of doctoral education and brings together interested parties from SGroup and Compostela Group members, with the focus placed on the structure of the doctoral school as well as the relation between the Ph.D. student and the Supervisor. Within a select circle of experts from several member universities from different countries in Europe we shall present a composite picture of the hands-on experience with doctoral education.

We provide for eight 40 minute slots for presentation and discussion (in the 30 + 10 format)

The language of the meeting is English.

The nature of the event

This meeting is designed as a workshop for Deputy Rectors, Deans for Graduate Studies and Heads of Doctoral Schools rather than a training session as such. This will give the meeting a slightly higher profile than a training session, more suitable for the centennial celebrations performed all around at Adam Mickiewicz University (AMU), Poznan, this year.
