Think Tank Academy
The TTA provides a unique space for thinking, learning, good practice sharing and cocreative endeavour in key areas of Higher Education.
Grounded in the SGroup European Universities Network, the knowledge, focus and impact of the TTA derives from the SGroup’s diverse and international membership.
The TTA comprises a cluster of TTs, each with its own dedicated area of attention. However, the TTs are brought together by a shared commitment to collaborative work on shared thematic areas and global engagement.
The Think Tank Academy is intended, through its TT network, to enable and deliver the following:
- Sharing of expertise and experience in the areas of internationalisation and development of Higher Education, within and outside the SGroup, deriving from the diverse perspectives, specialist knowledge and global reach of the SGroup membership;
- Stimulation of innovative thinking and developments in the regional areas covered by the TTs and also in the thematic areas addressed by the Think Tanks for the Social Mission of Universities and for Innovative Doctoral Education, within and outside the SGroup;
- Development of resource materials related, for instance, to global challenges, innovative doctoral education, inclusion and diversity, and regional cooperation priorities, available to institutions within and outside the SGroup;
- Engagement with EU-funded projects related to policy development, capacity building and developing partnerships for cooperation, excellence, and innovation as is the case of the Marie Sklodowska Curie Actions;
- Engagement with dissemination activities such as publication, seminar and conference activity, related to the five SGroup Think Tanks, each one with a relevant pool of experts, programme of activities, and objectives to be reached on an annual basis:
- Think Thank for China (2015)
- Think Tank for Latin America (2017)
- Think Tank for Africa (2019)
- Think Tank for Social Mission of Universities
- Think Tank for Innovative Doctoral Education
