The overall purpose of the SGroup Think Tank Academy is to combine the individual/collective strength of the SGroup member universities to empower researchers, teachers and administrative staff.

The Academy should be a natural way to get information through think tanks, seminars, workshops, working groups, expert forums, online tutorials and webinars. In addition, the Academy should serve as a way to keep the discussion going within SGroup in between the annual meetings.

There are five SGroup Think Tanks, each one with a relevant pool of experts, programme of activities, and objectives to be reached on an annual basis:

• Think Tank for Latin America (2017)
• Think Tank for Africa (2019)
• Think Tank for Social Mission of Universities 
• Think Tank for Doctoral Education
