LAUNCH OF NEW SGROUP PROJECT EWP 2.0

5 February 2018

The Erasmus Without Paper (EWP) initiative has kicked off its second project phase, being supported by the Erasmus+ programme through a second project, the Erasmus Without Paper 2.0. To discuss this new project and plan the upcoming two years in greater detail, EWP partners met at the University of Warsaw on the 23rd and 24th of January.

SGroup will be responsible for the quality assurance and evaluation, and work together with 13 other partners, including the European University Foundation, the Universities of Ghent, Warsaw, Málaga, Porto, Oslo and Umea, as well other institutions and consortiuns: CNOUS, ESN, CINECA, SOP, SIGMA, QS Uni and Umea.

The new project will build on the achievements of the previous project with some important additional features. One of the most relevant features will be the EWP Hub: a single entry point for Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) which are already involved in other tools, such as inter-institutional agreement manager, Online Learning Agreements, EGRACONS grade conversion and the European Student Cards.

The EWP Hub will also allow institutions without their own student information system to take advantage of the EWP infrastructure. Furthermore, the EWP Network will be industrialised by involving more partners in the in-depth testing and by extending existing APIs to cater for all European HEIs. In addition to the technical implementation, EWP 2.0 will create a competence centre to further support the roll-out of EWP by offering cutting-edge trainings, support documentation and a helpdesk to HEIs.

The EWP 2.0 project is an Erasmus+ forward-looking cooperation project, which will run from January 2018 to December 2019.
