Romilda Rizzo receives Honorary Doctorate from UVa

The University of Valladolid (UVa), a valued member of our network, has awarded an Honorary Doctorate (Doctor Honoris Causa) to Romilda Rizzo in recognition of her outstanding contributions to cultural economics.
The ceremony took place on 24 March 2026 at UVa’s historic Paraninfo. Professor Rizzo, former Chair of Public Economics at the University of Catania, is internationally recognised for her work on the economics of cultural heritage and its impact on public policy.
This distinction highlights UVa’s commitment to academic excellence and international collaboration, as well as the growing importance of cultural economics in addressing global challenges.
