In that perspective, the Santander Group will be actively participating as organiser of two panel sessions organiser on Managing EU-Third Countries Mobility Project in Higher Education and Bridging Higher Education between Europe and Latin America.
The first session will present wide and considerable expertise of our members in the project management under the Erasmus Mundus External Co-operation Window. In the last year EM ECW call as many as 13 SG member universities were selected in 9 different lots. Representatives of the SG universities co-ordinating such projects will provide an in-depth and hands-on experience in the areas such as successful consortia and partnership build-up and management, recognition of degrees and quality assurance, selection procedures, types of outgoing and incoming mobility and target groups, financial management, and efficient communication and dissemination strategies. In this way the Santander Group will offer a possibility for the universities participating in the programme of raising their capacities and building a pole of expertise.
The panel session devoted to Bridging Higher Education between Europe and Latin America will feature examples of project based co-operation of the Santander Group Network within AlBan and ALFA III Programmes of the European Commission. These two challenging examples of "Connecting Continents" through Higher Education will be thoroughly analysed in the proposed session to the audience of the EAIE event.
The EAIE event also offers possibilities of exhibiting organisations and presenting their activities. Our Association will also have a booth where our member universities will gain international visibility under the Santander Group's label. We invite our members to benefit from this facility either having your representative there or displaying promotional materials.
You will find a more detailed description of both proposals in the following documents:
