University of Catania Launches Erasmus+ BIP on European Quality Assurance System
15 June 2026
The University of Catania, a member of our alliance, is inviting academic, administrative, and technical staff from partner institutions to participate in the Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) “A BIP to Share Best Practices: European Quality Assurance Systems (EQAS)”, taking place from September to October 2026.
The programme aims to foster the exchange of experiences and best practices in quality assurance (QA) across European higher education institutions. Through a combination of online sessions and an intensive week in Catania, participants will explore different national and institutional approaches to quality assurance, accreditation systems, international programmes, and governance structures.
Designed from a comparative and practice-oriented perspective, the BIP will provide participants with the opportunity to deepen their understanding of quality assurance in education, research, and societal engagement while engaging in discussions with colleagues from across Europe. The programme also includes networking activities and site visits that will encourage intercultural exchange and collaboration.
The virtual component will take place on 18 and 24 September and 1 October 2026, followed by the physical mobility week in Catania from 12 to 16 October 2026.
Participation is open to both academic and professional services staff. Travel and accommodation costs may be supported through Erasmus+ Staff Mobility funding, subject to the regulations of the sending institution.
The application deadline is 20 June 2026.
