The Stellenbosch University Summer School presents students the​ oppportunity​ to embark on​ a truly immersive learning experience that goes beyond the classroom. Stellenbosch University makes use of a holistic approach to a Summer School programme—introducing students to their chosen field of study in a way that's both engaging and dynamic.

The academically enriching programme strikes the perfect balance between theory and practice, allowing students to not just learn, but experience their subjects in action. But that's not all! The carefully crafted social programme enhances one's academic journey by offering a deep dive into the cultural richness of Stellenbosch and the Western Cape, bringing you face-to-face with diverse cultures and unforgettable experiences.

Accommodation:
​Students are housed i​n a centrally located student dormitory on campus. The student residence is determined closer to the start.

What to expect:
-The residence is situated on campus and is a 5 minute walk from the lecture halls.
- Access controlled entrance
- Double room
- Bedding and towel is provided
- Your own study desk and lamp
- Separate male and female bathrooms
- Wifi access
- No central heating, but heaters are provided
- Cafeteria which provides breakfast
- Cooking facilities are not provided
- Recreational facilities

Social programme:
​The summer school evening programme includes film screenings, traditional South African barbecues, karaoke, “sokkie" dances, dinner parties and many more.

The academic programme is supported by a well-developed social programme consisting of day and weekend excursions to places of historical and touristic importance.

Places that will be visited and are included in the programme fee are Robben Island, Table Mountain, Cape Point and a Weekend away. (For the General Programme these trips are dependent on the Elective you choose)

Those who would like to see a bit more of South Africa can join the optional Garden Route Tour at the end of the summer school.

​All fees are quoted in South African Rand. Students from partner institutions qualify for certain waivers.
