Urban heat island response against the atmospheric circulation

Brief description of the activities to be carried out
Our research group investigated several urban heat islands and studied their seasonal evolution together with their temporal trend. The available databases consider North America, Europe, the Middle East and the north of Africa. Moreover, the atmospheric circulation patterns were obtained and the urban response against the more frequent types was investigated. The objective of this activity is to expand this analysis to other cities and to include additional variables since the results could be useful for urban planners.
