Brief description of the activities to be carried out
Activities will include the operation and optimisation of dark-fermentation bioreactors fed with organic residues, monitoring hydrogen production and soluble metabolites, applying microbial and chemical analyses, and interpreting results to improve process efficiency within a biorefinery framework.

The proposed duration is six months; however, it remains flexible and can be shortened to five months or extended beyond six months depending on student availability and organisational requirements.

Additional information
The student will be provided with a dedicated workspace within the researchers’ room, as well as full access to the laboratory facilities required to carry out the research.
