Name of the offer / activity
Routing Problems and Logistics Optimisation
Brief description of the activities to be carried out
1. Review of classical and recent developments in vehicle routing problems, including capacitated VRP, multi-depot VRP, green routing, inventory routing, production routing, and bilevel routing problems.
2. Development of optimisation models for routing problems arising in logistics, distribution, supply chains, and urban mobility. Particular attention will be given to exact formulations, decomposition approaches, and realistic operational constraints.
3. Implementation and testing of solution methods, including exact algorithms, matheuristics, decomposition methods, or metaheuristics.
4. Study of routing applications in sectors such as distribution logistics, healthcare, waste collection, last-mile delivery, production-distribution systems, or sustainable transportation. The work may include the evaluation of cost, service level, environmental impact, and operational efficiency indicators.
