The 2009 Summer School will take place in Catania from July 5th to 12th 2009 on the theme of "Recent Developments for Modelling Environmental System".
The University of Catania, jointly with the SANTANDER GROUP, organised a Summer School, for students and graduates, entitled “Some Recent Developments for Modelling Environmental System” to take place on 5-12 July 2009. During the course, international speakers will present the most important scientific and technological innovations into this field of research. The broader objective of this Summer School is to provide advanced training for students and from all over Europe and beyond on European issues of environmental and resource economics.
Face-to-face tuition (30 hours) will be held from 6th to 10th July 2009 and will be articulated in lectures and workshops. Study materials will be available in the website, approximately a month before the course starting date. The Module will be open to maximum 40 participants (students and graduates), who will be assessed in the final exam. At the end, an evaluation certificate will be delivered.
Students will have the opportunity to visit the historical city center, to participate in variety of cultural events and to a conclusive formal dinner. One excursion to a place of interest will also be organized.
The registration and tuition is 200 Euro. It covers accommodation, lunches, lectures, various study material, free access to the internet and organized trips and visits.
There is a possibility for 5 students to obtain a 300 Euro grant for the Summer School from the Santander Group. Here you will find the guidelines for the grant award and the beneficiary form.
