6th SGROUP-UNICA-COMPOSTELA GROUP Joint Workshop: Rethinking competence development for students' employability - practical solutions for Europe will take place on 14 April 2016 in the Brussels premises of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel.

The Workshop will address the following topics:

  • Innovative practices for fostering students' employability: case studies

  • Keeping up with the labour market: How to integrate professional competence development in study curricula?

  • Building strategic partnerships between universities, business and alumni networks

Target audience: The Workshop is open to Vice-Rectors/Vice-Presidents for Student Affairs, Deans, Heads of Career Offices, university professionals working in Career Support Services and Centres for Skills Development, Placement Coordinators, student associations and other stakeholders interested in the issue of youth employability.



On the occasion of the workshoppartner institutions have launched consultation on student employability strategies at European Universities. 

We would like to invite our members to respond to a few questions on existing practices in promoting employability, entrepreneurship, and profiling students’ competences with the needs of the job market. The survey will take you less than 5 minutes to complete.

The Workshop is hosted by Vrije Universiteit Brussel and will take place at VUB Etterbeek Campus in Karel van Miert building (level -1), located in Pleinlaan/Boulevard de la Plaine 5, 1050 Brussels.
