On 23 February, SGroup was represented by three members at the AIEA Annual Conference in New Orleans. Dr Arnim Heinemann (University of Bayreuth), Professor Cecilia Christersson (University of Malmö) and Professor Alexandra Hughes (University of Westminster) successfully delivered a session titled ‘Engaging with Diversity, Equality and Inclusion in Higher Education in Europe’, supporting the SGroup’s goal of furthering discussions on the social mission of universities at the international level.

This participation also represented an opportunity to reinforce connections between our network and others, namely AIEA and FAUBAI. The content of this well-appreciated session focused on SGroup’s experience and its members in the topic, and included good practices and  conclusions from the work developed by the working  group of the Social Mission of Universities. The latter will soon officially be launched as a Think Tank Academy chapter. Stay tuned for future announcements.
