At this year’s online Liaison Officers’ and General Assembly meetings on 28 and 29 October, 50 participants from more than 33 institutions had the opportunity to reflect on the topic ‘Sustainable Internationalisation in Higher Education (Institutional Policies)’.
The online meetings were originally planned to take place at the University of Minho in Portugal, but Covid-19 changed all that. In the meetings, SGroup members listened to and discussed with speakers on the topic, but also addressed internal business topics, shared new ideas about both internal and external projects and started planning some new ambitious goals for 2021.
During the Internal Business Meeting, the new logo was presented, and a slight change in the name of the association approved - SGroup Universities in Europe. Moreover, SGroup elected Dr Arnim Heinemann as their new President as well as two new EC members. The General Assembly representatives also approved three new full member institutions, the financial report of 2019 and the new budget for 2021.
