A diverse cohort of undergraduate, Master and Doctoral students from different SGroup universities attended the first edition of the SGroup Summer School in Colombia, hosted by the University of Los Andes in Bogotá. 

Under the motto “A Glance into Peace and Conflict through the Arts”, from July 11 to August 5, the participants followed a programme with an intensive Spanish language component, which included keynote presentations with room for debate and discussion, as well as cultural visits (more information on the programme can be read here).

According to the evaluation, participants were highly satisfied with the program, the fulfilment of objectives, content development, relevance of contents, duration, schedule and academic materials:“The course is really stimulating and the content is excellent. The site visits combined with the lectures are a very engaging way to learn”. Students were also pleased with their hosts and colleagues: "The experience of doing this course was excellent. We were really made to feel like home."
